I know a lot of brides to be and people post wedding who share this frustration. I don't understand what it is that makes everyone assume it's ok to butt in with their opinions on your wedding. I'm getting married in March (found your blog through the proposal project at Shaba's - mine was last week!) and it makes me laugh SO HARD when people tell you what you "have" to do. I don't HAVE to do anything! My fiance's brother in law was insisting that he stand at the front for the ceremony, and not walk down it. Well he wants to walk down the aisle with his mother, so that's what he's doing! We're doing non-traditional songs for everything, I'm not wearing a veil, he's not wearing a tux - oh no it's all going to hell!!! The most important thing about the day is that its YOUR day.
