I loved shopping for dresses. My mom and aunt wanted me in the big traditional white dress. But I’m 5′1 and fairly small generally so those dresses owned me.. i was all dress. Anyhow I didn’t end up with a white dress or a ball gown. When I found “the one,” I said “I love it!” My mom and aunt would have never picked that dress for me, but they saw how happy it made me and thats whats its all about.

So remember, chose a dress that YOU will love looking back at the pics for the rest of your life and you family will relish in your happiness

David’s told me up to 12 weeks to order, and they’d need 2 months for alterations. So, counting backwards, alterations should start in August, and dress should be ordered by the start of May, ideally. I’m planning on sealing the deal on the dress I eventually chose this month, just to be safe!

I still haven’t gone shopping for my dress, and the wedding is in October. How long did David’s tell you the dress would take (i.e., ordering it, the alterations, etc.)?.

Thanks for the compliment. I do like #2 a lot, but I’m not like, completely head over heals, you know? I think I’ve found a dress that mixes the best of that dress with my undying love of the short dress, haha.

I’m so excited you found my blog that way! I was in a similar position, finding a few NEPA wedding sites but nothing amazing, so I thought I’d try blogging about it! Even though I can’t review every venue ever, or every bridal salon in NEPA (that would be exhaaaauuusting), I hope it helps.

I’m new to your blog. I actually typed in NEPA Bride looking for resources since I am moving back to PA and am planning a wedding myself and I saw your blog and loved it.
